POWER OF HUMILITY

In the Bible context, humility means being comfortable with who you are in the Lord and therefore putting others first. In essence, humility is loving others. When one is humble, one is free from pride and arrogance.

EVIDENCE OF HUMILITY: When you are humble:
You can diffuse arguments; you do not need to stand for yourself in an angry manner and do not have to win every argument.
Proverbs 15: 1. You can handle unfair treatment easily. You can respond to unfair treatment without being overcome by bitterness. Eph 4: 31 – 32
You do not have to put on a false front. You don’t need to act like a bog shot. The better you know God the less you have to prove yourself. You can respond to and learn from criticism without being defensive. You are able to ask for forgiveness even if you think you are 1% wrong. You can easily apologise for what you did wrong, Psalm 51. You can talk with the right attitude; able to talk courteously and lovingly regardless of the situation. Eph. 4: 29. You will be selfless; Phil. 2: 34

GOD’S REWARD TO THE HUMBLE
He leads the humble in the right way and teaches him His will. Psalm 25: 9.
He raises the humble but crushes the wicked to the ground.
Psalm 147: 6. Cloth yourselves with humility towards one another because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. 1 Peter 5: 5
