Psalms 91:1-2:
Dwelling in the Secret Place of the Highest God

The Bible was taken from Psalm 91. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” We are living in the midst of some very trying and sometimes fearful times. Everything that we human being has put our trust in are being shaken to the very core. The truth of the matter is this; there is nothing that you or anyone can put his or her trust in that will stand the test of time but God.

There is benefit in dwelling in the presence of God. Throughout the Bible we read about men and women who benefited as a result of being in the presence of God. When we talk about being in the presence of God, what do we really mean? Do we mean a building or a house you get in? As long as God is Omnipresent it is not the building or house you dwell in. His Presence moves with you wherever you go.

In (Exodus Chapter 33:14) God said to Moses My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest. God is saying His Presence shall go with you wherever you go, at your work place, in the street, in the market. There’s a safe place where you can go: “for Guidance” “for Intimacy with God “ “for Peace and Calm “ “for Spiritual Protection and Victory “ “for Strength and Encouragement “ “for Growth in Righteousness“ Come to a sheltered place where your soul can grow, out of Satan’s reach. Come to the Secret Place. Enquiring from God: 1 Samuel 23: 1-29.

The Bible said that we cannot do anything without Him, so we need to ask for direction and guidance. If you are going to a place you do not know, you need a SatNav or a map to take you to your destination. SatNav. may fail you but God will not fail. In (Psalm 27:4-5) David says, One thing I have ask of the LORD, this only will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in the shelter of His sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.

How many of us can say with David that one thing I desire and seek after in life is: to dwell in the place where God is found? Devotion to God as a necessary prerequisite for enquiring of him Enquiring of God in prayer: 2 Chronicles 20:1-17 May God help us to enquire of Him, so that we will not be like the people Jeremiah 10:21 described.
